MILENA RIMASSA VP in charge of New Production.

Milena is a storyteller who embraces all platforms. Early in her career, she was a general assignment reporter with The Daily News before she became the youngest Financial Editor at The Hollywood Reporter which catapulted her to visibility within the entertainment community and led to a shift to production when she joined Gaumont-Italia as the right-hand to a prominent executive producer. For two years she toggled between the studios Rome and Paris offices before she returned to Los Angeles to join award-winning director/producer Nico Mastorakis as Vice President of his studio, Omega Entertainment.

Over the next decade she distributed over 100 films to just as many countries. She also developed, financed, produced and secured global distribution for feature films, a few of which continue to air on HBO and other major global networks.

When not developing, producing and distributing independent feature films, Milena enjoys documentary storytelling, having served as a producer of the award-winning Roll With Me, that chronicles the cross-country trek of a paraplegic in a manual wheelchair from San Francisco to his native New York.

Milena’s work as Bureau Chief at Nola.com during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina has been featured by Levees.org and in a book by author Sandy Rosenthal. Her micro storytelling while at Nola.com, was successful in raising engagement and viewership at this flagship digital news platform that is now standard throughout the world.

As marketing was pivotal to all of Milena’s film endeavors, she has carved out a niche for herself as a highly specialized marketing executive focused on promoting causes, brands and companies through multi-platform strategic storytelling and brand advocacy for a number of clients in fields of health, alternative energy, food & beverage, and, of course, entertainment.
